  2. Due to untold issues with my workflow using MAMP 4, I decided to revert back to MAMP Pro 3.5.2. However I cannot get the mySQL to start. I feel like I've tried everything: Reinstall kill processes Change permission on MAMP folder to 777 including sub folders. Run MAMP instead Nothing works (mySql won't even start in MAMP (non-pro).

MAMP 3.5 - Starting with version 1.1 Sequel Pro can directly communicate with MAMP PRO (a big thanks goes to the Sequel Pro Team!). Sequel Pro 1.0.2M is therefore no longer part of the MAMP package. Mamp Pro Download

MAMP 4 ships with memcached extension. It's not enabled by default but it can be enabled by editing php.ini and uncommeting memcached.so

Mamp
  1. Copy memcached.so from the appropriate subdirectory of this repo to /Applications/MAMP/bin/php/phpX.x.x/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-200xxxxx (Channge X.x.x to your PHP version)
  2. Add extension=memcached.so to the end of php.ini (Open MAMP click on File → Edit Template → PHP → PHP X.x.x php.ini), for non-pro users edit /Applications/MAMP/bin/php/phpX.x.x/conf/php.ini (Channge X.x.x to your PHP version)
  3. Restart MAMP.
